Yes, surface repair is part of the process.
Fiberglass, porcelain, enamel, acrylic, and cast iron tubs, plus tile and countertops.
You can shower 24 hours after the coating goes on, but be careful not to scratch it, since it is still soft. After 3 days you can use a restored tub to soak. The finish reaches full cure and hardness at 30 days, so treat it gently through that first month.
With proper care, a reglazed tub finish is expected to last 5 to 10 years, and the glaze itself is rated for up to 25 years. Following the care instructions matters: not following them will dramatically shorten the finish and void the warranty. We warranty our reglazing for 3 years.
